Happy Wednesday! It's time for Nutty Nutshell's Challenge #10!!! We had our very first blog hop this past week and it was a ball!! We were celebrating the release of our CutiePie Stamps. It has been a little while since our last Nutshells post, but that's not to say we have been sitting on our laurels!

October in the U.K is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to support this important event we have created a very special Digi stamp set.

Pink Frosting will be available as a digital download from the beginning of October and is filled with lost of sweet images including a new Nutshell... Pecan!

The full set will include two character images along with two cupcakes and a selection of cupcake toppers and sentiments.

We will be donating half of every download sold to a Breast Cancer Awareness charity, so please spread the word if you like the set, especially as it's for a good and ever so important cause.

MIDSUMMER NUTSHELLS

On Saturday 29th August, here at Nutcrafters we will celebrate our first year of being up and running, and what a year it has been!

We have added lots of new ranges to our store, including our very own Nutshells designs.

To celebrate we are having a BIG BIRTHDAY BONANZA weekend from 28th-31st August, with lots of special offers and great deals!

Today we can share one of those with you, with a sneak peak of a new stamp set we are releasing on the 28th... Midsummer Nutshells.

MAKING A SCENE!

August will see two new releases for our Nutshells stamps, the first of which is available from Monday 10th August.

Nutshells Scenery is a range of background stamps to co-ordinate with our Nutshells characters. They can be used in accompaniment to Nutshells or other character stamps or on their own as the focal point of you card. This week we will preview the designs which make up the range, with cards from our Design Team and Nutcrafters Staff.

I am getting very forgetful in my old age! Last week we set up a poll in our side bar and I have totally forgotten to mention it.

The poll is to see whether Coco should keep her glasses?

Coco is based on our very own Colette, who wears her glasses almost everyday, and seem part of who she is. Hence when I created Coco, the glasses seemed and obvious choice.

Colette's Mum however is not as keen, and asked "Can't you be drawn without your glasses?"

So we put it to a vote, if you have the time please vote and tell us what you think.

Today we are off to Newbury Race Course to attend this Weekends Artstamps England show.

What a day it has been! We were so excited about our stamp launch today that something had to go wrong... and true to form it did! All fixed now though, we have swept away those pesky little Gremlins and are happy to say that the SUMMER NUTSHELLS are now available in our web shop in clear acrylic and unmounted red rubber.

This post is so much later than I was expecting (I should be tucked up in bed right now with my favourite Vampire book!) but I wanted to post this card tonight like I promised.

I have made a card to tie in with this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, which is to use Butterflies on your card. I have also used the stamp we are offering for the prize - Coco with Butterfly.

This is my personal favourite from our new Summer Nutshells range, I just think she looks so happy and sweet!

A QUICK INTRODUCTION!

Today I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you properly to our little Nutshells. Our company is called Nutcrafters, and we have stretched the 'Nut' theme to our stamps too. Each of the Nutshell characters have been named after a Nut, well almost. I think I heard the other day that a Coconut is a seed, but the nut part is there in the name - right! ;)

Happy Friday everyone. The past two weeks have flown by and we have been completely overwhelmed by the reaction to our new blog. We have had so many gorgeous entries for our Design Team call and a great response to our blog candy too!

Today we are off to Scotland - A last minute invitation to the Art Stamp Exhibition in Edinburgh. When the blog candy closes at 6pm we will be traveling, so due to this (and an uncertainty of Internet access) we will pick a winner via random org over the weekend and post the winners name on Monday morning. Entries after 6pm will not be counted.

Our Design Team call also comes to a close today, and we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has tried out. We will choose our new DT members over the weekend and it's going to be a tough choice as there were so many beautiful creations.

Welcome to our new Nutshells Blog. We have a great range of new Nutshells on their way, but before we bring them out we need your help! We are looking for Design team to help give our little Nuts a great home! To be in with a chance is simple.

Our wonderful friend, and First DT member Nikki, has created this fantastic sketch for you to follow and as a bonus we would like you to use the exclusive Nutshells image below, which has been designed especially for our Design Team call.

Entrants should leave a link to their card in the comments section, this way we can view your entry easily and also take a sneak peek at your other work! Alternatively you can email us your card and 3 more examples of your work to enquiries@nutcrafters.com

DT REQUIREMENTS

The Design Team will be rotated every 6 months to give everyone an equal chance. We ask that DT members use each stamp we send and create at least one card per week (but the more the merrier!). We also ask that you take part in any challenges we set and preview stamps on the run up to release. Please Blog about your finished Nutshells creations and send us a photo of your work, which we will upload to the Nutshells Blog.

We are happy for our stamps to be used alongside other challenges and would like for them to be continually used after release to help with promotion.

The Nutshells image above will be available until the closure of the DT call, and we ask that all who use it respect our Copyright, and give credit to Nutcrafters Designs.

We will choose 3 DT members on the 5th June, Good Luck!
